NFL Week 4 Early Games

NFL Week 4 Early Games

Predictions, Best Bets & Player Props

Sunday’s early NFL window brings eight games and several matchups dramatically altered by injuries. Instead of relying on one projection model, we’re combining matchup tendencies, current injuries, weather, expected game scripts, historical patterns and multiple projections to identify the outcomes that appear most repeatable.

The objective isn’t to chase the biggest payout. It’s to find the highest-probability sides, totals and player roles before kickoff.

🏈 BuckBully Early-Game Projection Board

Three teams separate themselves from the rest of the board: Baltimore, Buffalo and Green Bay.

Cincinnati also grades favorably, while Cowboys-Texans, Cardinals-Giants and Rams-Eagles contain enough conflicting matchup variables that alternate spreads or player props may offer better value than aggressively attacking the side.

Titans at Ravens

Baltimore has one of Sunday’s clearest paths to controlling a game.

Tennessee enters 0–3 while Baltimore is 2–1. If the Ravens establish an early advantage, the game naturally shifts toward Baltimore’s rushing attack and away from Tennessee’s ability to generate explosive plays.

That makes Derrick Henry the centerpiece of the matchup.

Baltimore does have offensive-line concerns, so rather than requiring Henry to clear an aggressive sportsbook number, an alternate rushing line provides a better probability play.

Best Bets

Ravens ML — High Confidence
Derrick Henry 60+ rushing yards — High Confidence
Derrick Henry anytime TD — Strong

Henry 60+ is preferable to chasing 80 or 90 yards. If Baltimore leads as projected, he should continue receiving opportunities deep into the second half.

BuckBully Pick

Ravens win comfortably.

Patriots at Bills

Buffalo enters undefeated and gets a New England defense missing important personnel.

The Patriots’ defensive losses create opportunities for Buffalo to remain balanced rather than forcing Josh Allen to carry the entire offense.

That’s particularly attractive for James Cook.

Multiple projections point toward elevated Cook rushing volume, but rather than requiring 88.5+ yards, we’re lowering the threshold.

Best Bets

Bills ML — Strong
Josh Allen 1+ passing TD — High Confidence
James Cook 50+ rushing yards — High Confidence
Hunter Henry 30+ receiving yards — Strong

Cook’s full rushing Over remains playable, but 50+ yards gives us substantially more margin for error.

Hunter Henry is interesting from the opposite game script. If Buffalo leads, New England should throw more frequently underneath.

BuckBully Pick

Bills control the second half and move to 4–0.

Jets at Bears

Forget some of the earlier player-prop projections for this matchup. Injuries have fundamentally changed the game.

Chicago is expected to start Tyson Bagent with Caleb Williams sidelined, while the Jets are missing Breece Hall and additional offensive contributors.

That removes two previously attractive props — Caleb Williams passing Under and Breece Hall receptions — from consideration.

The better play is the game itself.

Neither offense needs to be particularly aggressive to remain competitive, and both teams have reasons to shorten the game.

Best Bets

Bears -3.5
Alternate Under 47.5 — High-probability parlay option
Bears ML — Lean

Instead of guessing which replacement player inherits enough volume, we’ll attack the expected reduction in overall offensive efficiency.

BuckBully Pick

Bears -3.5

Jaguars at Bengals

This is the early window’s best shootout candidate.

Joe Burrow is coming off his strongest performance of the young season, completing 28 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns.

Jacksonville has enough offensive ability to keep Cincinnati throwing rather than allowing the Bengals to sit on a lead.

That makes Burrow one of Sunday’s best passing ladders.

Joe Burrow

250+ passing yards — ⭐⭐⭐⭐
2+ passing TDs — ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ja’Marr Chase also carries significant upside, but we’re more comfortable building around Burrow’s overall passing production than requiring one receiver to absorb the yardage.

Another lower-threshold option is Parker Washington 4+ receptions, particularly against a Cincinnati secondary dealing with injuries.

Best Bets

Bengals ML
Joe Burrow 250+ passing yards
Joe Burrow 2+ passing TDs
Chase Brown 40+ rushing yards
Parker Washington 4+ receptions

Cowboys at Texans

This is one of the board’s biggest disagreements.

Some projections favor Houston 25–22 or 27–24. Others have Dallas winning approximately 27–23.

That tells us something important:

Don’t make the side the centerpiece of the card.

Dallas has produced 29.3 points per game through three contests, while Dak Prescott has thrown for 730 yards, seven touchdowns and only one interception.

Houston’s defense presents problems, but Dallas’ passing production makes Dak’s alternate passing yardage more attractive than choosing the winner.

Best Bets

Cowboys +3 — Lean
Dak Prescott 225+ passing yards — Strong
Dalton Schultz 4+ receptions — Lean

Because projections conflict sharply on C.J. Stroud’s passing volume, we’re avoiding both his yardage Over and pass-attempt Under as core selections.

BuckBully Pick

Cowboys with a slim win — but take the points rather than forcing Dallas ML.

Rams at Eagles

This matchup changed substantially because of injuries.

Philadelphia is dealing with significant losses among its offensive skill players, while Los Angeles has its own personnel concerns.

Puka Nacua’s expected return creates an interesting situation. His workload could be managed, but even a somewhat reduced role can produce receptions through short, high-percentage targets.

That’s why we prefer his reception floor rather than an aggressive yardage Over.

Best Bets

Puka Nacua 4+ receptions — Strong
Jalen Hurts 30+ rushing yards — Lean
Jalen Hurts anytime TD — Lean
Rams +3 — Strong

Earlier projections favored Philadelphia based partly on its historical success against Los Angeles. The updated injury picture pushes this matchup closer toward the Rams.

BuckBully Pick

Rams win by field goal

Packers at Buccaneers

This is one of Sunday’s biggest injury-driven adjustments.

With Baker Mayfield out, earlier projections involving Mayfield passing yards, Mike Evans touchdown production based on Mayfield’s red-zone tendencies, and a one-point Packers victory should be discounted.

Green Bay now owns the quarterback advantage in what is expected to be a relatively low-scoring game.

Weather could add another obstacle, with wind, heat, humidity and possible precipitation appearing across forecasts.

That favors Green Bay, rushing production and shorter passing concepts.

Best Bets

Packers ML — High Confidence
Packers-Buccaneers Under 40.5 — Strong
Bucky Irving 40+ rushing yards — Strong
Tucker Kraft 3+ receptions — Strong

Bucky Irving may become particularly important if Tampa Bay protects its backup quarterback with a conservative game plan.

⭐ BuckBully Top 10 Player Props

After combining the projections and removing props damaged by updated injury information, these are our preferred plays:

The theme is deliberate: volume over volatility.

We’re taking carries, completions, receptions and passing-yard floors instead of loading the card with anytime touchdowns.

🐂 BuckBully Early Bird — 3 Legs

For the conservative early ticket:

Ravens ML
Bills ML
Packers ML

Three teams with significant matchup, quarterback or game-script advantages.

Projected confidence: HIGH

🔒 BuckBully Probability Ticket

Want more payout without turning the ticket into a lottery?

Derrick Henry 60+ rushing yards
Josh Allen 1+ passing TD
James Cook 50+ rushing yards
Joe Burrow 250+ passing yards
Dak Prescott 225+ passing yards
Puka Nacua 4+ receptions

This is our favorite construction because every leg is intentionally moved below the more aggressive standard prop line.

The goal is simple:

Don’t ask a player to have a career day. Ask him to do what his projected role already requires.

For a smaller-stake, higher-payout ticket:

This version increases both thresholds and correlation, so it should be treated much differently from the probability ticket.

🏆 Best Bets of the Early Window

BEST SIDE

Ravens ML

Baltimore has the cleanest combination of talent advantage, home field and expected game script.

BEST SPREAD

Bears -3.5

We’ll lay the points with Chicago. The Bears have enough of an edge to win this matchup by more than a field goal, making -3.5 the strongest spread on the board.

BEST TOTAL

Jets–Bears Under 47.5

Quarterback and skill-position injuries reduce the offensive ceiling for both teams.

BEST PLAYER PROP

Derrick Henry 60+ rushing yards

Rather than requiring Henry to clear an aggressive 78.5–90 yard number, we’re buying down to a threshold that fits almost every favorable Baltimore game script.

BEST PASSING PROP

Joe Burrow 250+ passing yards

The standard line may sit substantially higher. For a probability-focused parlay, 250+ offers the better floor.

BEST RECEPTION PROP

Puka Nacua 4+ receptions

Even if Los Angeles monitors his snaps, underneath targets provide multiple paths to four catches.

Final Card

If we’re narrowing eight games into the positions we trust most:

🔥 Ravens ML
🔥 Bills ML
🔥 Packers ML
🔥 Jets–Bears Under 47.5
🔥 Derrick Henry 60+ rushing
🔥 Josh Allen 1+ passing TD
🔥 James Cook 50+ rushing
🔥 Joe Burrow 250+ passing
🔥 Dak Prescott 225+ passing
🔥 Puka Nacua 4+ receptions

The most important lesson from Sunday’s board is that injuries matter more than preseason reputation or historical head-to-head records. Several matchups changed considerably during the week, which is why older props involving Caleb Williams, Breece Hall and Baker Mayfield should no longer be treated as actionable plays.

For the safest construction, build around Baltimore, Buffalo and Green Bay, then use alternate player thresholds rather than stacking high-variance touchdown markets.
