BUCKBULLY | GLOBAL SECURITY & SURVIVAL

Worldwide Disaster Coming?

War, cyberattacks, failing power grids and worldwide emergency warnings. Who’s on whose side, and how prepared is your household?

Governments across the world encourage citizens to prepare for interruptions to food, electricity, water, communications and banking. Are these normal precautions, or signs of something bigger?

At BuckBully, we’re exploring the geopolitical tensions, historical lessons, possible consequences and practical preparations every household should consider.

Reality Check: Emergency supply recommendations are not predictions of when a disaster will occur. A 90-day household survival plan is optional and not a verified nationwide U.S. government requirement.

01 / Why Are Governments Preparing?

Many countries encourage households to remain self-sufficient during the initial period of an emergency, especially when infrastructure and transportation networks are disrupted.

3 Days🇬🇧 United Kingdom
Emergency supplies and household planning.
72 Hours🇫🇷 France
Emergency kit, food, water and communications.
3 Days🇮🇪 Ireland
Household readiness for severe emergencies.
72 Hours🇳🇱 Netherlands
Water, emergency cash, radio and supplies.
10 Days🇩🇪 Germany
Gradual buildup of household food and water supplies.
3+ Days🇺🇸 United States
Basic emergency kit, with longer reserves when practical.

These are household preparedness targets, not government response-time promises. China also publishes emergency preparedness advice.

02 / Who’s on Whose Side?

Iran, Russia, China, Israel and the United States are central to today’s geopolitical tensions. Their relationships matter, but economic cooperation does not always mean military alliance.

Interactive Global Alignment Explorer

United States

Close security partnership with Israel, NATO alliances in Europe and strategic competition with Russia and China. U.S. military and economic decisions influence worldwide markets, security and trade.

Russia and China maintain significant relationships with Iran, but neither relationship automatically guarantees direct military intervention against America. Meanwhile, diplomatic contacts between rival nations can seek to reduce tensions or address competing interests.

Could America contribute to international instability through its own foreign policy? That’s a legitimate question. Yet preparedness advice alone is not evidence of a secret military operation.

03 / Global Threat Explorer

War is only one potential source of disruption. Choose a hypothetical scenario to explore possible consequences.

Cyberattack

Payment networks, utilities, hospitals, communications and fuel distribution can experience interruptions during major cyber incidents.

04 / Historical Similarities

World War II — Civil Defense and Rationing

Governments implemented rationing, mobilization and civilian preparedness during an international conflict.

1973 Oil Embargo — Fuel Shortages

International tensions contributed to gas lines, higher prices and economic instability.

2003 Northeast Blackout — Infrastructure Failure

A cascading grid failure interrupted power for millions of people in the United States and Canada.

2020 Pandemic — Supply Chain Disruption

Panic purchases and disrupted logistics caused temporary shortages and delivery delays.

2021 Colonial Pipeline — Cyberattack

A ransomware incident disrupted major fuel pipeline operations and contributed to regional shortages.

2021 Texas Winter Storm — Power and Water

Severe cold and equipment failures caused extensive electricity and water disruptions.

Uses one gallon per person daily and three meals daily. Plan extra water for pregnancy, infant feeding, hot weather, pets and medical needs.

06 / Banking, Power and Infrastructure

Banking

Power and network disruptions may make ATMs, payment terminals and banking apps temporarily unavailable. Keep some emergency cash in small bills and maintain a backup payment method.

07 / What Could the First 90 Days Look Like?

First 24 Hours

Electrical and communications interruptions may begin. Check official alerts, keep essential devices charged and evaluate shelter or evacuation instructions.

Power safety: Never operate fuel-powered generators inside a home or garage. Keep generators outdoors at least 20 feet away from windows, doors and vents, with exhaust directed away. Use carbon-monoxide detectors.

10 / Household Emergency: Pregnancy & Baby Care (1–24 Months)

Pregnant women, newborns, infants and toddlers require special preparations during war, prolonged outages and natural disasters.

A safe family emergency plan must consider prenatal health, infant feeding, medical care, clean water, diapers, age-appropriate food and safe sleeping arrangements.

Interactive Pregnancy & Baby Care Guide

Pregnancy

Prioritize prenatal vitamins, prescribed medicines, safe water, nutritious shelf-stable food, maternity records and access to prenatal care. Prepare a delivery hospital backup plan and an emergency hospital bag.

Food and Nutrition for Pregnant Women

Protein & Iron

Canned chicken, beans, lentils, nut butters, low-mercury canned fish and shelf-stable protein foods.

Grains & Energy

Oatmeal, whole-grain cereals, crackers, rice, pasta and ready-to-eat shelf-stable meals.

Fruits & Vegetables

Canned fruits, dried fruit, applesauce, vegetables and fiber-rich foods.

Calcium & Hydration

Pasteurized shelf-stable milk or fortified alternatives, safe drinking water and prescribed nutritional supplements.

Avoid unpasteurized dairy, raw or undercooked foods, alcohol and high-mercury fish. Follow individual pregnancy nutrition and medical advice.

Infant Formula and Feeding

Breastfeeding

Continue breastfeeding when possible. Have water and food for the breastfeeding parent, maintain access to feeding support and learn hand expression if electricity is unavailable.

Critical infant feeding guidance: Ready-to-feed commercial infant formula is preferred during emergencies because it requires no mixing with potentially unsafe water. Never dilute formula, make homemade formula or replace an infant’s formula with ordinary milk without appropriate medical guidance.

Use the baby’s actual formula intake rather than a fixed daily recommendation. Enter zero for breastfed children or toddlers who do not use formula. Formula containers are planning equivalents, rounded up, not feeding instructions. Older toddlers may not use diapers.

What to Order for Pregnancy and Baby Care

Emergency Medical Warning Signs

Pregnancy: Seek urgent medical help for heavy vaginal bleeding, seizures, chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe headache with vision changes, severe abdominal pain, or reduced fetal movement. Contact maternity care promptly if labor or leaking fluid is suspected.

Infants: A temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher in an infant under three months requires immediate medical assessment. Serious breathing problems, severe dehydration or unusual unresponsiveness require emergency care.

Keep prenatal and pediatric medical information accessible. A disaster kit cannot replace professional medical care.

11 / The BuckBully Bottom Line

There are real geopolitical tensions, infrastructure vulnerabilities and environmental risks worth watching. But emergency preparedness is not proof that a worldwide disaster is imminent.

Build your supplies gradually, protect vulnerable family members, establish an evacuation and communication plan, and rely on verified public safety alerts rather than rumors.

Our Message

Don’t panic. Don’t overbuy. Prepare your household for disruptions before they happen — especially when caring for pregnant women, infants and young children.
