15 Best Weekend Deals on Phones, Earbuds, and More

[Wired]

You can get two Borderlands games for free right now, and plenty of other gadgets and gizmos for nice discounts.

If you missed out on some of the great Memorial Day sales last weekend, there’s good news: Some of the tech deals are still rolling over from the holiday. We’ve rounded up goodies ranging from discounted MacBook Pros to affordable robot vacuums for your perusal.

Deals on Phones, Accessories, and Headphones

  • Google Pixel 3A for $350 ($50 off): This isn’t the best deal we’ve seen on Google’s affordable phone—last weekend it was as low as $280. But at $50 off, it’s still a great value if you’re looking for one of the best Android phones for not a lot of money. The 3A has one of the best cameras on a phone of its price, it’s plenty powerful, and its battery lasts a whole day.
  • Samsung Galaxy Note10+ for $750 ($350 off): This is a great price for one of 2019’s most luxurious phones. The Note10+ has more power than you might need, but it’s one of the only phones that comes with a built-in stylus. The smaller Note10 is available for $700, but the Note10+ is a better value at just $50 more.
  • Aukey USB-C 10,000 mAh Power Bank for $30 ($17 off): This is a simple power bank that made it into our Ninetendo Switch Accessories guide. It’s not powerful enough to charge while you play, but it has enough capacity to juice the console up, as well as your phone, and any other devices with its multiple ports.
  • Apple AirPods Pro for $230 ($20 off): This is as low as the AirPods Pro have gone since Apple released them in 2019. Still, they’re great earbuds, especially if you own an iPhone (though they work with Android phones with some limited features).
  • JBL Tune 210 Earbuds for $10 ($10 off): If you just want a simple pair of earbuds and don’t need all the bells and whistles, the Tune 210 are a solid option. They’re already cheap at their usual price of $20, but you can get them for 50 percent off.

Other Tech and Miscellaneous Deals

  • Google Nest Mini for $40 ($10 off): The Nest Mini is a Google Assistant-powered smart speaker that can help smarten up your home. This isn’t the best deal we’ve seen on it (it’s dipped as low as $25 before), but if you were planning on buying one, $10 off is a nice incentive.
  • Google Nest Detect for $40 ($20 off): If you’re already a Nest Secure Alarm System user, you can get these extra Nest Detect sensors to monitor when somebody opens or closes doors and windows in your home.
  • MacBook Pro (16 inch, 2019 model) for $2,199 ($200 off): Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro is the MacBook to get if you need a powerful machine for intensive tasks like 4K video editing. It has a much better keyboard than previous models too. You’ll probably be fine with the Core i7 model with 16 GB of RAM, but if you know you’ll need the most power you can get, spring for the 2.3-GHz Core i9, which is also $200 off. You also get one year of Apple TV+.
  • Samsung 55-Inch 4K Q70 Series Smart TV for $900 ($100 off): This didn’t make our list of the Best TVs, but it’s still a solid model, with good picture quality and slim bezels.
  • Ultimate Ears Wonderboom Bluetooth Speaker for $64 ($36 off): We like UE’s newer offering, the Boom 3 a bit more, but the Wonderboom is still worth buying. It’s waterproof, cute, and it can float—pool parties anyone? Plus, the battery lasts 10 hours.
  • Roborock S5 Robot Vacuum and Mop for $378 ($222 off): Use promo code ROBOROCK55 at checkout to see the full discount. We have yet to try this particular model from Roborock, but we like the S6 for being super quiet.
  • Borderlands: The Handsome Collection PC Bundle for Free Download ($60 off): You need a PC for this download. This bundle gives you Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for free, though to access and install the game you’ll need to install the Epic Games Launcher.
  • Samsung 1 TB T7 Touch Portable SSD for $190 ($40 off): This is Samsung’s brand new solid-state drive (SSD), and it’s a great deal if you’re in the market for one. It comes with a built-in fingerprint scanner, adding a layer of extra security for your files, and it’s tiny (about the size of a business card). You’ll get the $190 price when you add it to your cart, as an additional $10 coupon is automatically applied.
  • Nikon D750 Body Only (DSLR Camera) for $1,496 ($200 off): The D750 is is the older version of the D780 we recently reviewed, but it remains a powerful and great full-frame camera.
  • Casper 20 Pound Weighted Blanket for $161 ($18 off): It’s not exactly the deal of the century, but we really like using this weighted blanket and a deal is a deal. WIRED writer Jess Grey says it’s been a lifesaver for her during quarantine.
